Speaking of dips, anyone know how to actually make dip from scratch? Oh man me thinks I'm going to end up buying all the diff flavour soups tomorrow! Chip Dip is my weakness

I quite like the ready made ones ...I think its cheese and onion the one we have, they're sour cream base! I'm a HUGE sour cream fan ...probably explains the sudden weight gain but meh - we only live once right?

Now I usually make dip up with a can of reduced cream and a packet of onion soup and a little bit of vinegar. Today I went to make some up and found I didn't have any onion soup, but I had a packet of french onion soup (I won a maggi competition last year with a heap of soup packets in it), so I thought what the hell it is onion flavoured it should do.

It is so much nicer tasting that the normal onion soup dip. I am going to get french onion next time I want dip.
