I had my show and had Taine two weeks later. And it looked like (WARNING: GROSS IMAGERY AHEAD) after you blow your nose when you have a really bad cold. A show is when the mucas plug comes away. there is a little blood and is just basically gross, sorry tmi i know but there is no nice way of describing a show. Ooooh how exciting!! Hope it happens for you soon Claire. I remember I posted on her two weeks before my due date with lots of niggles etc, but it was two weeks before Hannah arrived. Prob a good idea to finish a week early just in case - you really need to have a bit of YOU time before bubs. Good luck!! Hoope it is happening for you. Just a warning though - I had painful braxton hicks contractions for about two weeks before having Taine.

For the last few days I've been having what I think are practice contractions, and last night I began getting regular contractions - every 40 mins or so, lasting for a minute at a time. Not too painful (well, at least I don't THINK they were too bad but I've had a lifetime of shocking period pains so I think I have quite a high tolerance....). It's all calmed down this morning, but I get the feeling it's the calm before the storm!! Or, I could be totally barking up the wrong tree!!
