I heart my vodafone but in saying that I have had a few times when I have been randomly charged and rung up and complained which has always been remburised but this new charging for phone services is a bit over the top.

I've got both and I actually find Vodafone better. For the most part Telecom's customer service leaves a lot to be desired too. I'm going back to Telecom too... I HATE Vodafone now... it's nothing but a pain in the arse and I have been a customer with them for eons!! Both Prepay & Contract..

I moved with Telecom a few years ago and have never looked back. I'm on pre-pay too and love it - and they have a great deal at the moment too

im having a ball looking at all these awsome telecom phones that i want to buy dont feel so bad bout ditching my nice vodafone one now!!

Did ya know you can get any type of skin (like faceplate) to make your phone look how ever you want it too!!?? so neat!!

We moved to Telecom a year or so ago and don't regret it at all! I love that we have the 'one bill' plan so it all just charges to our phone bill and we have had no problems since changing. I moved to Telecom as I was not impressed with their customer service (which by the sounds of it has gottn worse), their pricing was very expensive compared to Telecom, and I could just have one bill as they just put my cell bill on the home bill.

I would be making a formal complaint, don't ring them thou they just take your number as their team leader is always "too busy" to come to the phone at the moment and they will call you back. Email them.

does anyone else find their pxts never go through? Im on vodafone and dp on telecom and he hasnt received a pxt from me in months yet i send them a lot cos he away often and want him to see what his boy is up to. Ive been meaning to complain about cos im sure im being charged for it. I hate Vodafone and took great delight a number of years ago when I walked into the store and told them to stick their contract I was leavng them. They tried alsorts to keep me with vodafone (incl new phone, discounts etc) but I told them I have already got a new telecom phone and I don't think you can give me the same deal as Telecom (I told them what it was) and no they couldn't.

I still have a prepaid vodafone that is used to txt my sister in England.

I think it is so rude of them to have a customer service centre but tell their customers you will be charged to use it  NUTTERS

DH rung me this morning (he is in aucks) to say that he couldnt text much because he tried to put the text 2000 on his phone last night when he topped up and it kept on saying they were down now thats all well and good (well not really but it cant be helped) but they charged him $1 for each try and he tried 4 times!!! WTF!!!!! thats not his fault!! and they should reinburse him because those stupid f**k*n fees for ringing and setting things up is absolute b*llsh*t!!!!

So anyway after his IOU was payed back he then didnt have enough to put the text 2000 on!!! (he also had to make some urgent phone calls) and seen as i want to know how his fathers brain surgery went - we are now having to put another top up on!!

So i rung vodafone and the guy said "sorry we cant give the money back because the hurricane wasnt our fault" i said "f*ck the damb huricane! you shouldnt have charged him $1 each time when nothing came of it!!" he said "sorry we still cant do anything" so i said "well thanks a f*ck*n lot! bye!" and he then had the nerve to say "thankyou i hope we were of help to you today!" WELL NOW! that just made me go off at him even more!!!

Im so ANGRY! at them and i want to somehow make a formal complaint! this is ripping people off!!!

A month ago i was at work with a friend (we worked nights) and she checked her credit (she had $8) before going in to work and leaving her phone in the car then when we finished at 1am she texted her hubby and had no credit!! so she rung vodafone and they said that it was because she had logged on to the net 3 times that night! WHATEVER! she said to them "thats crap because i have been at work and my phone has been locked in the car!" the guy then quickly said he would reimburse and said bye!! DODGY!!
