One thing that made me laugh during that doco is when the older tranny man was out with his wife, and those 3 young mums came up to him to ask him about being a tranny.. He said to them "what gave me away?" as if he genuinely thought he looked like a woman! LOL! I've seen a pic of DH in lingere after his mates made him do it at his stag do... NOT PRETTY!!! So uh, no. Nope, the deception part of it would bother me too much, and to be honest so would the lifestyle. That said we have a tranny neighbour and while that bothers DH, seeing all his mates in the driveway in full garb for a night out, I don't care one bit. It's his business. funny tho as i know someone whos 60+ who was a closet tranny for over 20yrs then 1 day came out to his wife, she was devistated and she left. although she said if he had told her years ago when it started that she would have stayed with him.

My Dh doesn't have the legs to be a woman, he also rarely shaves so would be a bearded lady

The secret keeping thing is a biggy but after watching last night I did understand why the guy hadn't said anything as he thought he could stop doing it once in a relationship etc and then as time goes on it gets harder and harder. He only owned up when she threatened to leave cos she thought he was having an affair. I think I would struggle if my DH had kept it a secret for so long ... ie through 6 years of dating/living together/marriage. I would hope that he would have told me anything like that BEFORE we walked up the aisle

On one hand, its still the man that I love and as long as his feelings for me haven't changed, the love for each other is still there.
On the other hand, this is a whole different side to his personality that I don't know. I dont think i could accept that my husband/partner was a tranny aye. It would just be way too disturbing finding out they did that. Also i would be pissed they lied to me for so long (if it were after a long time, if they told me straight up id be outta there).

I watched that doco last night and it got me thinking. One of the couples had been married 7 years before he came out to his wife and she stayed with him and his female self she saw as her sister and his male self as her husband. She was only intimate with his male side but some of the other couples were more open than that.

I've thought about it and for me it wouldn't be a deal breaker, I would be a little annoyed that it had been hidden for so long, and probably weirded out for a while but I think that we could get over it and accept it.
