oh my gawd I can not stand "Kiiiiiven" from Pak n Save, he seriously does my head in!!

And to add insult to injury he has done a new promo that they play every single time I do the shopping in the Hutt........... argghhh "hullo shoppers Kiiiiven here at the new Hutt City Pak n Save........blah blah blah bloody blah"

Because of my accent, I changed the 'rhythm' (for lack of a better description) of how I speak to make it somewhat easier on people, and it drives me mad when people say they can't understand me - because I *know* I'm speaking clearly ! Or I say one thing, and they think I've said something entirely different (usually try to blame it on a 'bad line'), but again I know I speak clearly - my mum is an English teacher, and I take a lot of pride in my writing and speaking. I hate "everythink" like how the guy from the Pak'n'save ads says it - "everythink we do, we do to save you money". Grrr I think they may have changed it though. And Yous and Aks- those are awful!
For some reason I hate it when people write 'dat' instead of that.

My big, huge pet hate is peoples eating habits- I hate it when people talk with their mouths full or chew with their mouths open. It makes me feel sick! Well famous fiver and co i shall relay the "kelly at the museum story" aka "God how embarrassing"

AHem....so myself and Paul* (not his real name) were at the museum in his car having uh, relations, when lo and behold we saw a police car pull up "sh*t!" says Paul and we quickly dress -.
Mr Policeman comes to the window and says to me-are u alright mam?"" yes fine fine" i say thinking how sweet he was checking i hadnt been raped or anything,then he gives me a very odd look and says to paul "and what about u-are u okay?" i mean wtf! cos i could really rape a guy in my 7months pregnant state!!!!
Well after giving me another odd stare mr policeman waltzed away.
Poor paul was a bit miffed , u know how they can get when they get interrupted during relations and i teased him about being "mr grumpy Pants" to which he looked at me-smirked and said
" i might be mr grumpy pants but at least i dont have my knickers on the outside of my jeans!"

Yes somehow ...and this is something ONLY I COULD MANAGE TO DO i had pulled my jeans up inside out so my underwear was on the outside....like superman.
No wonder the police was laughing at me-esp since they were my pregnancy undies-big cotton bloomers red with yellow polka dots about 5years old !


And kelly was very embarrassed and the policeman probably told every one at the station and that taught her to have "relations" at the museum and she lived embarrassedly ever after.

ok a bit different to what you guys have said but I hate it so much when guys 'adjust' themselves. I dont think they realise they do it most of the time but hello my grandmother doesnt need to see you having a wee scratch or moving it to the other side thank you very much. Mathew Ridge is a shocker for this and just about everytime he is on tv he has his hand on it.

Totally agree, I hate it when people answer the phone "are you there", my little SIL's text language which actually makes words even longer and I can't understand what she's talking about! WRONG!!

It is meant to be "Here are some picture for you to look at"

LOL lizzle i live in the Pak-er-ranga area.
I get annoyed when people say WAkatene instead of FAkatene and wongamatta instead of fongamata (whangamata) -they are maori words so pronounce them the maori way.

But what really (ha reali) gets on my nerves is at work when an asian (and no im not rasict-one of my closest friends is asian-not that she admits it) rings and as soon as i answer starts yakking in mandarin-and i say "sorry dont speak chinese"and they say it again still in mandarin and so i repeat "dont speak chinese" and they try one more time to which i repeat "dont speak chinese" and they say -"u no speak chinese?" i say "no, sorry(im not really sorry) and they say "ugh" in this really disgusted tone and hangup on me!!! THEN RING BACK 5MINS LATER.
OH and some old asian men are really gross-they hock constantly-usually into the sink by the chair but one started to do it down the hall and the other (NICE MANNERED) patients could hear it-and one time it filled up the plug-mucousy green phlegm and snot-YUMMMM_and i have to TAKE THE PLUG OUT AND CLEAN IT-sometimes i hate my job.

My job annoys me cos every time i wake up and i have to go to work i realise my dream about having a handsome funny and rich husband is alas just a dream

Things that annoy me...

- I also hate old ladies (or men) calling me "dear"....i'm sorry but unless you are the person I married on 04 Dec 04 you are not entitled to call me dear...especially if you are male!

- people who say "yous guys"...."yous" is not a word. never has been and I really hope never will be!

- people who walk into our office (Air New Zealand) and ask "Oh is this House of Travel"...ermmmmm what do you think?

- Finally the people who used to ring up when I worked in the call centre (and I imagine still ring)...ask for the cost of getting to Christchurch then ask (in all seriousness) "so is that by train or what?"....well you rang an airline so would you like to take another guess?

Yep, Liz and Jax, not that you would be able to tell with my typos, but I am a Grammar nazi as well, and I HATE HATE HATE when people use the wrong word or an in appropriate word, or confuse bought and brought, etc. Rod calls me the corrector, becasue apparently I am terrible at this (and others have also mentioned that I do this as well...)
Worst thing " he borrowed me five dollars" NO HE DIDN'T BORROW YOU FIVE DOLLARS, HE LENT IT TO YOU!
And I have no shame in asking people to use their manners. I hate it when people don't say please and thankyou.

Off the word subject, one of my PET hates is when people don't get their trousers taken up, and walk around on long long pants that are all ripped, dirty and scruffy. Especially dress pants. YUCK. I see it when I am lining up at the bank ALL THE TIME, girls in smart work wear and shoddy pants. ok, so not everyone can sew, but my drycleaner takes all my pants up overnight for $12.

1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal, where the hell is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where the toilet is?

2. People who are willing to get off their butt to search the entire room for the T.V. remote because they refuse to walk to the T.V. and change the channel manually.

3. When people say "Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too". Damn right! What good is cake if you can't eat it?

4. When people say "it's always the last place you look". Of course it is. Why the hell would you keep looking after you've found it?

5. When people say while watching a film "did you see that?". No, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the damn floor.
