We didn't know there was anything wrong with Sienna's ears till the specialist offered to check them when he was seeing Mercedes for her pre-grommets appt and it turns out she had chronic glue ear too

She had a cold the other week but seemed ok otherwise. It was picked up at her check before her immunisations.

I can't say I'm that surprised as DH had shocking problems with his ears when he was little. I am however very grateful it didn't happen until now as we have just recently signed up with Southern cross. At least if she needs grommets now it will be covered.

They are just watching it at the moment. We have to go back in a month and get them checked again at which point they will refer us on to a ear, nose & throat doc if needed.

If she is getting grommets, she won't be able to put her head under water. While her eardrums are intact, its fine.
