Base recipe similar to what has already been posted - although I don't measure, I just bung it all in until I get the right consistency.

I also add rolled oats to the crumble topping, as well as a good teaspoon or so of cinnamon and nutmeg (also sprinkled on the fruit). It also has better flavour if you use brown sugar as opposed to just white sugar.
More variations of course are to mix the fruit up with berries, rhubarb, pears etc.
Mmmm, might make one for tonight!

The crunched up maltezers are something I thought of that now has been passed around to lots of friends.

Maltezers are so versitile, I crunch them up in a ziplock bag with a rolling pin and put it over ice cream.

Always pays to have a big bag in the cupboard (so you can eat extras whilst making dessert) if you can restrain yourself from eating them before dessert time.

Frozen berries are great too... I use fresh seasonal berries in summer, but if you are like me, you wont mind sucking on the cold boysenberries in ambrosia!

*drools*
