i know a wee girl called micaela, and i must say, i love her name if you are one to not like naming kids a certain name because of name association (bad people) there'd be no worries with micaela, the micaela i know is a true sweetie and beautiful, funny etc.... thats just my 2 cents worth!
i'd spell it....

I like Michaela. I'm not big on the spellings people use sometimes, like replacing 's' with 'z' or 'ch' with 'k'. Wow that was fast, i like Mikayla. I just didn't want it to be too close to Michael thats all. I couldn't find any books with alternative spelling.

We like that name too! We will spell it "Mikaela" if this baby is a girl, but according to my baby name book, the alternaive spellings are:
"Michaela"
"Mikaela"
"Michayla"
"Mikayla"

I would like to know the other ways of spelling Michaela.

I know that you can spell it with a k and also a couple of ways with a y.
