Author: Jay_R
Subject: 20361
Posted: 27 August 2008 at 10:28am

We have learned to not give Joshua the same thing for breakfast every day, as he gets bored with food quite easily. We have a few choices for him - Hubbards do a great porridge with fruit (raisins, apples and apricots) which takes 4 mins in the microwave, and he loves it. Stewed fruit with cornflakes are good, weetbix with yoghurt and banana, toast..... try to keep away from the highly processed, high sugar cereals though as they cause energy slumps.

For dinners you could try things like omelettes, mini fish pies, vegetable croquettes (mash veges then roll them in breadcrumbs then bake them), homemade fish bites, homemade wedges, pasta he can pick up with a bit of sauce on it. Finger food is all good - carrot sticks etc. Ploughman type platters with some luncheon, cheese, bread etc are good too.

Good luck, picky eaters are hard work!

Cut it up into smaller slices and froze it (do you get the idea I like to make in bulk and freeze!!)

Edited by Linzy
