We spent 3 weeks at the mothercraft unit a waikato hospital while sorting it out. I was breastfeeding while in there and the specialist put her on ranitadine and another one I can't remember the name - not losec. I really wanted to try thickened formula but the specialist said to keep with the medication.

Anyway, upon returning home breastfeeding was a major chore and she would feed for less than a minute and pull of and cry.....and this would circle....so in the end I got the AR thickened formula and it worked wonders! We were so excited when she drank 80ml in one go!

Since then I have found out that losec isn't the best think out here either - so read up on it thoroughly. Yes it works, but longer term health issues may (please not I'm not saying will) arise.
