CS3 is the latest one and there are a number of versions available... If you go to the official site there is a little thingy which helps you determine which version is best suited for your needs..

Personally I have used lots of different versions over the years and doesn't really matter even if you got your hands on an older version, cause likely it will do what you need anyway..

I have CS3, althogh its one of the more expensive ones and I dont know what half the stuff does.
