I have mums from other areas donate to my area of work (very poor area) and I give them to the families in need. I have also given loads of Alize stuff away too as is nicer to give to the need I see than the clothing bins.

I drop a lot of stuff off to the Glen Innes Plunket as its a lower socio area. They are always greatful and tell me there are a lot of people without the basics.

Refuge is a great idea too. I emailed Derek at Womens Refuge about 3 months ago but they said they had enough stuff at the time but said to try Pregnancy Help. The Christchurch City Mission is in town and you can just rock up there and drop the stuff off. When I've done that with toys etc they're pretty stoked. And then it goes to all families in need as often the women's refuge stuff only goes to women that seek help, whereas there are a lot of families that use the city mission who aren't going through breakups etc, just needy. I have a HUGE bag of girls baby clothes, im talking a black large rubbish bag bursting at the top fill and i want to like donate it somewhere but where? I have twice dropped clothes off to a clothing bin to find a month later they are still there and strewn everywhere so i wont do that anymore.

I also have to plastic bags of rattles and baby toys.
