My mum slept me and my sister in the same cot until my sister started playing up and wouldn't sleep at night, so then they had to get another cot and my sister used to get put into the lounge to sleep at night time because she would just scream all night long. Mum said that too. I was thinking I could top and tail them with a Safety Sleep each maybe. I have spoken to the local Multiple Birth club, the lady was awesome, he told me that they will give me a card that gives me a discount at the Baby Factory and some other shops, every little bit counts I guess.

The pram I was looking at is $900 It's a Valco double. Hey Emma, you should go to the multiple birth society. Apparently you dont need 2 cots you just co-sleep them in the same cot. A friend of mine has twin girls and they love to snuggle up together in their cot. You're so right Aimee! One minute I am thinking how cool teh idea is, the next I am panicking thinking how the heck am I going to cope with two babies, and how are we going to be able to afford 2 cots, a double pram etc etc. And feeling a little ripped off - second time round is supposed to be easier because you know what to expect. Instead I am doing this twin thing for the first time and have NO idea what to expect!

But I am happy about it overall. Like Maria says, it means I will get my 3 kids without having to be pregnant again, plus they will play together when they are older and stuff.

Man that is a clear scan. Get used to having heaps of them because i did i think all up i had 6 or 7 but not sure would have to have a count.
Yeh identical twins can happen to any one its ferternal twins that have to be passed on through the family. I met the specialist Yvonne uses last week, and he seemed very nice. Not sure if it will be the same one for you and the twins. Yep Maria - I have to have shared care between a midwife and OB and we are going to go with the same Ind Midwife that delivered Maya and a private specialist because my Southern Cross will fund it. My midwife says I will have more frequent checkups and stuff, and I guess they will take into account that my brothers and sister were all prem. Maya wasn't "Prem" as such, she was 10 days early which is termed a 38-weeker as we didn't get to complete the 38th week.

Yep, one sac, two babies. Which apparently means identical. Oh yeah! I rang Yvonne and told her, and she said she nearly crashed her car! But the sad thing is she won't be able to deliver as they don't do twins. Completely random. Apparently this particular type of twin is a random thing. But I did find out yesterday from my Mum that her father (my grandfather) was a twin, but his twin died at birth. I know what you mean on the internal Scan I had to have 2 of them with Bailey, not the best thing in the world, but you get over it when you see your little bubs

Yep - not! But they couldn't clearly see if the twins were in the same amniotic sac or not so they had to do it. This is the clearest pic on the scn, they were actually measuring one of the twins but you can see them both clear as day.

And yes, Willie was shocked... He was sent home from work early coz his foot is playing up, so I went out to him and said that I had the scan, and he was like "so?" And I said there's two. His first reaction was "thats going to cot me even more money!".
