We fell in love with our new house so to speak, and even though I love this house to bits too and it has so many memories, it's too big and would cost us more in the long run It's probably part of why we've ended up really slacking off with our packing *sigh*

We have just moved from Australia and before that have had two different 'homes' in Brisabane CBD while the girls were young. Each time I do feel sad, as each place holds so many memories (where the girls were conceived etc) ...... but on the other hand each move has involved positive aspects so try to remind myself of these often.

It is funny, I still now refer to Brisabane as home and feel like we are on a 12 month holiday here, even though this is our new home. I guess for me these things take time

I'd moved into our old place a month before Nathaniel and I got married, it was the first "home" Kiya and I had really had... Josiah was conceived and brought home there. It was a little hard at first, but once we were unpacked and had finished rearranging the furniture, this place began to feel like a home to us.

Can't wait!

And also when you have a look at a house and its furnished once the stuff has gone you see things you didnt notice before and the rooms look smaller etc plus its not your HOME yet, its jsut a house that someone else has left thier print on. Give it a bit of time and once you get your furniture in there you will feel better. I hated leaving the house we conceived and brought Kobe home to but then there are going to be heaps of things like that through his life (putting the new baby into his cot is going to be hard for me) I guess its just a natural feeling.

It was a bit different to how we had remembered it - namely the kids rooms are smaller than we had thought - not tiny, but definately smaller than the one HUGE room that paris currently has, so a little bummed about that.

But seriously - how do you feel when you move house - i am just starting to feel a little sad, i mean i am realising that this has been our home, for 4 years, and this is where our babies were conceived, and where we brought them home to, and where paris has grown up.. it's kinda sad to leave - i almost don't want to.

is this normal - or does everyone else usually feel great about their new house once they get to it.
I mean tonight, i just got back here after being at the new place and it was like "THIS is our home" not the other place. it's weird and it's worrying me a little.
