Re the kick count charts, Me personally I didnt really keep count but baby had gotten themselves into a routine that I got used to and as long as I felt them around their usual wake up and play times I was quite happy with that...

I will be keeping an eye on this thread tomorrow hun. Im excited for you...And it's gonna be anytime now....

Mummytobesep08 it's not long to go now, I know it seems like an eternity but bubs will come out.. Has MW suggested an induction date at all? You'll be 41wks 2 days by tues so give MW abit of a nudge to induce before 42 also @ your appointment ask her to try and do a S&S if you feel comfy with having one of them done.

it's not the most pleasant thing to have done but it's not excrutiating either & they tend to work within 48 hours but not always. I think you need to get some eviction notice papers written up and give your little miss a stern talking to, LOL...

mumtobesep08, I know this is gonna sound odd Re: the sex thing to start labour, If your not into sex at the moment maybe you can ask hubby to do his bizo into one of those sterilised jars and then use a syringe to insert you know where and lie there for a while with hips slightly elevated. When is your next MW appointment? Hve you had an internal to check if your starting to efface & or dialate?

S&S is where they stretch open the cervix and sweep around the membranse to seperate them from the uterus. If anything it is uncomfortable & depending on how favourable your cervix is it can be quite succesfull. If you do get a internal done ask wht your bishops score is....

Emz I wish I was flexible enough to do my own S&S's....

First, RELAX! Forget due dates. Due dates are simply an educated guess, did you know only 4% of births happen on the "due date"? Your anxiety is pumping adrenaline at high levels into your system and this could very well be further delaying any progress or starting. Concentrate on the wonderful feeling of the baby's movements inside you and how productive labor will be when it does begin. I know this all sounds a bit repetitive...however, the more you struggle to initiate labor the more your body becomes stressed and a body that is stressed will not start labor simply as a built in natural defensive response to perceived "danger". Even though you might not be in actual danger, your stress levels tell the body that danger is imminent and this further delays the natural release of oxytocin into your system. Go take a warm bath, eat a favorite meal, drink plenty of fluids and let nature take its course. The best things in life take their time.

It sounds easier said than done I know coz I've tried it and you'd think I would have learned after my 2nd and 3rd induction..No harm in giving it a try...I definately know what it's like to become anxious about going into labour...

I feel for you, I never went over (both came early) but even then I hated waiting for the induction date.
