It was a 5.2 earthquake centred 60km SW of Wanganui, at a depth of 90km. Our house made some horrid creaking sounds that alarmed me, it was quite a good one! About 11 years ago we had a few weeks of bad earthquakes in the Wgtn region and DH and I lived in a dodgy wee flat in Lyall Bay... I was pretty convinced it was going to fall down around our ears if the earthquakes kept going, either that or there'd be a tsunami (I lived one street back from the beach).
