I have tried 2 layers of hemp, 3 layers of bamboo and a 2 layer bamboo trifold (6 layers) and none of them held up. The top of them would get a little wet before they leaked and the rest of it would be dry as anything.

When I get a bit of time, I'm going to cut the microfibre out of one of them and put in a better fitting microfibre insert and see if that fixes the problem.

It's good to hear that they're actually working for you though. It gives me some hope as I really don't want to give up on these.

I found mine took awhile to get up to absorbancy. I love mine now tho. If you are up for sacrificing one nap... you could try unpicking the mf booster? I find mine leaks if I don't have any booster in the pocket... I just put a 3 layer bamboo that's really trim and it will then last as long as any of my other naps.
Good luck sorting the issue, as they are a really cute nap and lovely and trim.

She bought a set of Mommy's Touch and it took ages to get he delivery, then she didn't get the colours she ordered & wrong inserts etc. Then after less than a year the elastic went in a few of the nappies. They were eventually replaced but I don't think she'd use the company again.

If you do get a credit and want to try another nappy I've read good things about the Blueberry Delux that Mums & Bubs are now selling. They do a one-size nappy in both poppers & velcro and their inserts are supposed to be really good.

Vic xx

I'll have a look though. I'm willing to sacrifice one of them if I can find something that works. It's an AIO but the swaddlebees AIO's also have a pocket opening so I might be able to get it off. The microfleece is only a strip down the middle too and doesn't reach the edges. The back of the velour is like a mesh and that's all there is between the edge of the microfleece and the edge of the nappy, which may also be why it's leaking.

This is a picture of it turned inside out. It's quite a large gap I would've thought.

Maybe I should just unpick the microfibre out of it and use it as a regular pocket nappy with my other inserts instead.

I've had problems with the velour lining on a swaddlebee pocket and it was because they have a layer of microfleece behind the velour and it was acting as a barrier layer and the wee wasn't getting into the insert and just leaking straight out. So I unpicked the overlocking holding the velour and microfleece together and now put the insert between the velour and microfleece and yay! No leaking :D Of course this won't help you with an AIO but just thought I'd give you a reason why it could be leaking.

I already have 6 bumgenius nappies (our most reliable nappies by far) and I want to keep trying different brands. I got the swaddlebees very cheap so no loss there really and I might try pulling the stitching out and seeing if that helps at all. It's no loss if it doesn't work anyway. Its a real shame though because they are such a darn cute nappy!

I thought that it might've been the case and that's why I thought I'd test it.

Can you ruin the nappy by unpicking the stitching? I suppose the holes have already been made though so the liquid would still leak through those.

I've tried stuffing them with more inserts so absorbancy isn't the issue. As soon as the wee's gets near the edge it soaks straight through.
