I went to Auckland Xray, but they informed me that they only do Akl area and not Manukau county.....so any south akl ladies...bad luck for us!!

I will be getting a 3-D scan. They do them at Hamitlon Radiology and said the best time is at about 30 weeks because by this stage the face is a lot clearer. I think i will get it at about 31 weeks. I got a little card from them. Mine was exactly the same - It was actually still hard to see the baby clearly in the 4D scans because the placenta was in the way. She said if I was further along the 4D's would have come out better.

I had mine down at 18 weeks at Auckland x-ray services as well. I had mine for my anatomy scan (20wks), but they don't do it in 4D mode for the whole thing, just for a few minutes, because I think it is easier / faster for them to check all the parts with the regular type of scan. I am hoping on having one - I saw my friend's scan and it was AMAZING! You could honestly see the babys face, I am so excited about mine!!!

Can anyone tell me about 3D/4D scans. We are wanting one. How many weeks and did you have the option  of having one of these instead of a normal scan.
