She rubs them alot before hand. I would be putting it down to the wax though. ( I hate that stuff - it smells awful)

I would try giving them a wipe with some cooled boiled water on a cotton ball. No matter what it is this will be soothing for her

I put it down to dehydration.
They looked a little better after some milk and a drink of water.
Once she woke from her morning nap they were sunken and red (not the eyes themselves, underneath) and a little raw looking.
She seems just as chipper as usual - no weird or out of character behaviour.
She HAS been rubbing them both quite a bit though.
The only thing I can put it down to (that's different to usual) is some parrafin wax that we've been prescribed this week for her eczema.
DH put a little on her face last night...
Has anyone else had this happen?
Or know what else it could be?
Obviously, I'll take her to the doctor if it hasn't cleared up by tomorrow...
