Thanks Everyone.

I spoke to my Midwife tonight aswell, she said its definitly do-able, and to express every 2 hours for 48 hours, she said dont try and latch him on until I have got my milk back in, but do lots of skin on skin, like have a bath etc etc.
She said that after 48 hours I should know if Im going to get my milk back. So Im feeling more hopeful now.

You could start the feed on the bottle and hold him at your naked breast in a rugby hold as if you were BF him, and when he gets over that initial thirst slaking, quickly swap him over. Might take a few tries, though.
Also, try to start the feed before he thinks he is starving!

See if you can express over the next couple of days to get the "real milk". If you can do that just by expressing (and perhaps every now and then getting him to try suckling halfway through or just after a bottle feed), then you could go onto expressing a little right before you are ready to feed him so that there's no waiting time for him. Breasts are a little more work for bubbas than bottles.

I don't know if this is the world's stupidest suggestion ... or perhaps completely obvious ... but do you try him on the breast at the beginning of the feed? I'm just wondering if it's more distressing for him because he's hungry. You've probably already thought of this, but perhaps give him most of a bottle feed first and them let him have a go at the breast?

Hey there, I did the re-birthing thing with my son and for a whole day at feed times I ran a bath and we got in and after a day of that we were off and feeding. Yup, you can mix the blessed thistle in with food or drink.
Porridge is quite good for disguising it and the oats in it are good for your milk too.

Yep Bizzy Im going to do that, Im going to try the re birthing thingy where you have a bath together etc.

Daizy-I havent got any milk to express yet, Im working on getting it back, from my left breast I can get a few drops of clear sticky stuff which Id say is colostrum and its getting more each day.

Thanks weegee :) Its quite stressful, and I had a bit of a mummy meltdown tonight, I feel a but useless cos he wont take the breast :( But he needs to learn all over again, so we have a long way to go yet.

Hang in there, hope he gets the hang of it soon. I would say to keep the whole process as relaxed as you possibly can. Days in bed and lots of skin to skin cuddles sound great.
I am probably no help but will he take EBM in a bottle so he gets used to the taste?

I think that was the problem, I was forcing him to the breast when I should have just let him do what he wanted and I should ahve stopped when he got upset. He got upset I got upset, so nothing will work that way...

Sheena I don't have any personal experience, but do you have a bath? You could try re-birthing? There's also some general info about coaxing baby to the breast here and here; including this:
Avoid pressuring baby to nurse. Offer in an ultra-casual way and pretend you don't mind if he refuses (easier said than done, but try not to show any frustration - your aim is to avoid pressuring baby to nurse). Don't hold the back of baby's head or push or hold baby to the breast. If baby pulls off the breast, then don't try to make him go back onto the breast at that time - simply try again later. If baby seems frustrated with your offering the breast, then turn the pressure down and simply make the breast available (lots of skin-to-skin!) without offering. Ok, so as you know, I am relactating, yay!!

I managed to get Caden on to the breast for about 3 seconds he sucked and then pulled off and screamed. I tried again and again, but in the end he was just hysterical and I felt so bad
I think he is terribly confused. I tired again tonight and I was using the Medela Supplement System, but I just couldnt get him to latch on to suck, and again he got hysterical.

I feel bad for trying to make him do something that he doesnt want to, he has forgotten how to feed off me I dont know what to do, any idea's?

ETA- I also tried with breast sheilds.
