I just thought that Ross was avoiding seeing Martha, maybe too many memories of his wife who died of cancer. I won't tell you what happens as I have seen the next 2 weeks but it gets very interesting with Belle and the new guy (the cop) and Melody and Ross.

Right I'll try and be brief

Aden was trying to kill his dad (or rather "let him die"rather than take him to hospital) but Rachel came along, so he held them hostage. Belle eventually found them etc etc and he ended up being put in the institute because I think he had a breakdown or something.

Adens dad told aden that his grandad used to sexually abuse him too, which made aden fly off the handle because his dad odviously new what it was like and never stopped it happening to Aden, so he locked him in the shed waiting for him to die, kidnapped rachel and then belle turned up and he locked her up too, then almost gave his dad a fatel dose of morphine.
