When I asked the Plunket nurse if she was teething she said it was too early and all 3 months old babies would chew their hands because they can. But a few weeks later, when Alani turned 4 months the first two teeth cut through. Some babies are early teethers, some are late. It could very well be teething with your little boy.

The symptoms come and go, sometimes several weeks apart etc.

Do you have a teething ring or something similar for Caden to chew on?

If not then he could be teething.
Wetting and freezing a clean cloth that he can chew on my help. I am trying at the moment the NautroPhalm (sp??) homeopathic Teething Med spray. Can't say though whether it is working too well as I keep forgetting to give it to him!

ETA: Although I agree with Kebakat that their teeth can move around a bit before popping through, Jack's first tooth cut at 5mths and he didn't show signs for too long before it cut. He then averaged a new tooth every 2wks!

Edited by Linzy
