I had the fudge red colour in mine, done by hairdresser. Was very very bright to start with, but like all dye, faded pretty quick. Hi there, does he want bright blue or not so bright blue..

At xmas time my friends convinced me to dye my hair blue black, we just bought a hairdye from countdown, and it turned out great, it looked dark but when the sun shined on it it looked really blue.

Then when it started to fade it for some reason started to look more and more bright blue.

But if he wants bright blue then i would sugest fudge. I dont think it is permanent though, but its the only brand i know that you could trust that does bright random colours. The fact that his hair is natural at the moment will make bleaching really easy, just make sure you cover all his hair well. Same with the blue as long as its well covered it should be easy. If it really doesn't look good you can buy a cheap brown hair dye for less than $10 and dye it back.

ooo I found a shop in town that sells fudge products and the bleaching stuff too and I can get the lot for $40! The first shop I went to doesn't sell the bleaching product and said it's best not to DIY but the second shop was really hugely confident about how easy the bleaching is.

I never bleached my hair first, and always got good results. I did leave it on a lot longer than it said though, as I always wanted it quite bright.

I have asked the question on the Fudge FB page to see what they recommend.

I am secretly quite jealous....I would love to do something wild like that again! Might do it over summer!!!

Bizzy - just because he wants to! at highschool i was a house leader so i died my naturally blonde hair blue with the fudge stuff along with a mate . . . .

it WOULDNT COME OUT!
and we got suspended untill we got it out i died my hair darker and anna shaved hers off! yup rite off.

I dyed my hair blue once. (have also dyed it purple, pink, bright red and illuminous yellow, ah teenage years), the only trouble was it went this horrid green colour as it washed out. I didn't lightened my hair first as i'm blond. So in short i would see a professional if he wants it for more than a couple of washes. I used the fudge colours a LOT during my teenager years, had it bright scarlett red, blue streaks, think I used the green too at one stage. I have naturally mousey auburn hair and never had any problems with it washing out eventually....although I prob just dyed it another colour before it had a chance to wash out completely. Looking at his hair colour, I would think it would be fine....the longer you leave it (from memory) the brighter it becomes!

Just be aware that in some people's hair, Fudge isn't so semi-permanent!!! I tried out most of the colours in their range when I was younger, and my hair took to it really well - the hairdresser stripped it and bleached it 3-4 times and it still didn't come out

When I was 15 I had my hair green for about a week... it was short and spiky too! Lol I just used a coloured spray thing. I think I got it from the chemist. I hadn't thought of that. Semi-permanent at least, not much point in doing it for less time than that.

He has chocolate brown hair, it would need bleaching first.

Fudge (its a brand) do a blue dye ... is is hair a light colour? get blue hair?
I'm wondering whether I could get my DH blue hair dye for his birthday, but I'm not as dramatic so wouldn't have a clue where to start LOL. Would he need to go to a hairdresser to get that colour (if not, where can you buy 'random' hairdye colours)? Would it be best to get him to get a professional to do the hair dye or is it easy enough to DIY without your hair going green?
