Doesn't quite work as that makes it sound like everyone is pregnant within 2 years which isn't true, but perhaps those are the stats for people without anything wrong? I can't remember where I read that but maybe this website http://www.fertilityplus.com/ another friend that went to the doc told her it could take up to 18 months to get pregnant (we're about the same age as you).

I think either referring yourself or going to see a naturopath/acupuncture now would be worth it. If nothing else it makes you feel better actively doing something. Or at least that's how I've felt. Every time AF arrives I tend to try and find my new solution for the month. It stops me going insane.

This time round I've been charting for 7 months and the two times I've ovulated I've had chemical pg's (the doc thinks anyway) so we have been referred and have an appt in a week. We are going private and use the Oxford Clinic in town (my doc there is great). Consults are generally around the $200 mark from memory, but if you need drugs they're actually quite cheap, it's just the consults and scans/surgeries that are the expensive bits.

Good luck hun. PM me if you want any details about the Oxford Clinic and who I use there.

After a year of trying we went to doc's, they did tests, found a problem with dp. But doc said after a year, and given your age, you get a referal to specialist who I'd say given your in CHCH (we're in North Cant) will be feritiltiy associates in the St Georges complex. They are super nice.
I'm now 6 weeks preg, after surgery for Endo which they said they hadn't fixed so not sure what has done it, might be the natropath we've been seeing as well. But it's very very possible to still have a 'natural' pregnancy after a year of trying.
it's a rough road, so take care of yourself.

We have been trying for 10 months without a single BFP. We have both got normal fertility. The doctor has done a number of tests and everything came back normal. I think that 10 month is a very long time to be trying as most of my friends got pg really soon after trying. A friend of mine says that I should wait until I have at least tried for a year. Do any of you know anybody that got pg after a year of trying? Do you think it is worth the wait? I have just turned 32 and my biological clock is being to clang. Also, the cost of the fertility diagnoses and treatments is really big expense which is off putting. I feel like I am between a rock and a hard place. If I know that there is little chance of us getting pg then I would like to see a specialist straight away. If there is still a chance for us to get pg then I would like to wait a short while. What do you think I should do? I am a bit confused.
