Lauren started spilling again about 2 weeks ago and she is a year old now. This went on for about a week and now its stopped again. I spoke to our specialist and he was not concerned at all about it.

Lauren also recently had allergy testing done and she came back clear. We have another round of testing in 6 months time.

Hi Curly. Our son is a similar age and he had reflux until he started solids at 6 months. Then a few weeks ago he started spilling his milk a little and occassionally vomiting tiny amounts of solids. Did this for a couple of weeks then it stopped again. We didn't feed him any differently before, during or after so don't know what caused it. Looked like he was getting a bit of heartburn though, as he'd go red around his eyes and almost hiccup a little before spitting up some milk. Oh, and he doesn't have any allergies that we're aware of.

Yep unfortunatly Im pretty sure most of us with kids with allergys/intollerences have found the road to diagnosis and getting on the right diet/formula etc etc a long and often frustrating process.
If you keep not having luck with your GP, change! Ring up a few GP offices are ask if they have a Dr who has a special interest or knowledge of kids with allergys. We moved Samantha to the S26 Soy formula as she is intolerant to dairy and have found it brilliant. She is a changed kid on it - it is unbelievable the difference it has made.

If I was you I would be demanding some allergy testing. My doctor fobbed me off for ages with Sam even though she had reacted to several things. Yeah I have been to the GP time and time again and have been brushed off! Even tried to get a pead appt for funding for the goats milk, but they declined based on his history. But the spitting up is new since all this.
I have just made an appt to see an allergy pead privately, but cant see him till dec 9th!
Yeah, I meant a soy formula, my only concern with this is whether he will still be getting the calcium he needs?
Guess I will go back to the GP and be a little more forceful this time. It's hard, because they make you feel like your overreacting, and to be honest, I have lost all faith in them now!

Soy is not meant to be given to infants as a complete milk replacement- but u could try a soy formula (that might have been what u meant!). Just check its a soy formula that doesnt contain dairy- apparently some do.
Do u have a GP or Paed that u could see to to discuss your options- you may be able to get him onto a non-dairy formula through them. It can take a while tho, and there are criteia to meet to get the funding for it. yeah me too..same thing happened to my wee boy...though not vomiting but a month after being on pepti he had same reaction and he has cows milk protein allergy..

Often kids with cows milk allergy/intollerence cant tollerate goats milk beacuase the protein which usually causes the allergy is very similar in goats milk.
And as intollernces can take up to several weeks to show after intoduction of the food, I suspect he is reacting to the goats milk.

My 10month old has just started spitting up, which can happen up to 10 times a day. This started about ten days ago and seems to have absolutely no pattern to it. We have not introduced any new foods and he is on a dairy free diet and goats milk formula - which we started a month ago because we are querying a dairy intolerance.
He did have reflux when he was younger, but seemed to grow out of it at about 5 months.
My question is; should I be worried? Is this normal? And has anyone elses baby done this?
