Lol well I can't say for sure that I broke his nose but I heard and felt this really horrible wet crunch & there was a LOT of blood so I presume I broke it.
Its really funny thinking about it now but at the time it wasn't. I think it is definitely something to do with wanting to protect Bubs. I used to be one of those awful "girl-racers" until I got pregnant, now I have been officially dubbed "the Nana driver" by my family. I don't mind as long as my boy is safe!!
Also I never knew how the "mother instinct" can really make an impact on how you view other drivers. When I was 7 months pregnant with Alex I had an "incident" with a taxi-driver in Auckland when I was picking up Spencer in the early hours of the morning. The taxi driver reversed his car right into the side of my car while I was at the lights. I still to this day don't know HOW he didn't see me! Anyway, I got out, walked around & yanked the taxi-driver out of his car & just dealt to him. It must have been quite funny to see but I just remember having this white hot feeling of rage and I'm definitely not a violent person.

I hate driving over bridges, Im scared im going to get squashed. I remember driving when preggie with Kobe in a 80k area and this idiot driving towards me hadnt put his canoe on his car properly and it flew off and hit my car. He stopped to pick up the canoe but didnt even bother to see if I was alright. im glad im not the only person who has a hard time with this!! i find it really hard to find anyone who understands where i am coming from. i have a full on mental block though and cannot drive. i hate it, its like while im driving i suffer from anxiety and have to stop. i DID have one moment where a few weeks back i found it in me to drive 5 mins from my mums to home at night time, but i must admit i nearlly pulled over and made hubby drive!

Nah, they just get worse Jax! The funny thing is that when I was preg with Maya Willie drove normally, but as soon as she was out and in her carseat he drove about 15km slower...

I can understand that Deez but I'm mostly the opposite, I don't mind being a passenger at all most times - although the two people who I'm usually passenger with are my mum and husband, and pretty much trust their driving completely.

And I think it is all part of the whole pregnancy / protective instinct thing, I notice bad driving even more so than I did before - dobbed in a guy on the motorway who didn't have any brake lights AT ALL !! Not that they were missing, but they sure weren't working - I was behind him for a good 5kms until he got pulled over.

Besides getting more nervous, I have definitely gotten more cautious - which is interesting because I wouldn't have thought it possible LOL I was cautious enough before I got pregnant ! I can't say that i have experienced exactly that, although since being pregnant i perfer to do all the driving when James & i go out, i hate being the passenger bascially because im not in control. I have noticed i have more of a temper in traffic now lol, and im always conscious of the poeple driving around me.

I'm like that with driving these days too...and I notice I have had more people pull out in front of me since I've been pregnant so it worries me more! I went through that too, Jax, while pregnant with Kiya... not necessarily a good thing when you work for a car rental agency! I noticed that my driving, while already pretty good, got more and more cautious the further along I got!

This has been on my mind for a while. I know that almost everyone out there on the road thinks they're good drivers, but without trying to blow my own trumpet too much I have reason to believe I am sufficiently skilled. Anyway, in the later stages of my pregnancy things have changed a little - I'm more jittery, am no longer fond of driving on the motorway, and HATE the Harbour Bridge. Every little swerve from another car makes me nervous, and I sometimes have a bit of trouble staying completely straight. I'm not saying that I deviate outside of my lane or anything, but even Roland has noticed I have occasional 'speed wobbles'. Anyone else experienced this?
