DF is my pest! he always scores the best ones too. You will need to cover them as if that pest is getting to them the other pests will get them too.

I used to do this to my granddads crop. He'd be gutted, one visit from me and that was his strawberries gone! this is my first attempt at gardening and I planted some strawberry plants..yum!!!!!

 

Unfortunately they have sucumbed to a "pest" that eats all the berries as soon as they are red.  I dont think sprays will work.  I have caught this "pest" at work and he has a HUGE smile on his face, with red dripping down his jaw.  Wish I had a photo but it seems............

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tom loves strawberries and helps himself to them straight off the plant.  I even caught him having trouble breaking the fruit off so he just bites it off the plant.  Kinda cute..
