Anti fungal creams should be continued for a good couple of weeks after all signs of infection have gone. This is because fungal spores can remain for that time.

If the cream isn't working, I'd be taking Lucy back to the doctors. What does it look like?  Can you post a pic?  I only ask because Tom has a weird rash on his arms...I had it a few weeks ago.  lots of tiny red dots and really rough feeling...not itchy. His is the same and I wonder if it was an allergic reaction but to what?  Is this what Lucy''s was like?

Cornflour still applies for arms, as does air and keeping them as dry as possible.
I'd try that for 3 or so days, morning and night and if it didn't make any difference, back to the docs.

Try to keep it really dry and give it lots of air, as fungal infections thrive in warm moist conditions.
Assuming she's still in nappies and the rash is around her groin, change the nappies as frequently as possible to avoid her sitting with a damp bottom and give her nappy off time whenever you can.
I swear by cornflour for bum rashes, it has always worked really well for clearing them up in our house. Make sure the area is really well patted dry and apply after every change and bathing.
Also, I stop using wipes, soaps and moisturisers until the rash is completely healed.

TMI but i get itchy down there and its not thrush, like a rash sort of and i don't really know what it is but nothing serious.... anyway i use Micreme which you get from the doctors and it clears it up so quickly, don't know if they use on kids tho but it says not for kids under two. Since we got back from Australia, Lucy has had a bad rash, we thought it was Excema (sp?) but went to the doctor and it is a fungal infection. Have been putting some cream on it for the past 2 weeks and it seems that it isn't getting any better. It flares up after a shower.
