Perhaps if we all bombard Bebo with emails saying how unhappy we are that we are getting viruses then they may do something about it. I contacted Bebo and they said that its random people trying to get passwords and things... I have both Bebo and Facebook, and actually find Bebo so much easier to use. In saying that, I've always had a private profile, so haven't had to worry about spam messages. A few people (spammers) have tried to add me, and I just declined their request. I deleted my bebo. My DF started getting all these random emails from freinds he hadnt spoken to in AGES and the messages only ever said, hey check out my new pics" or something.

Yeah my profile is private, but I got the message first from one of my friends who often sends pics and videos etc and so I clicked on it, and it didn't work so I thought the link must have just been broken, so I deleted it, but that must have been enough for it to send to all my friends

But by being private it reduces the risk of you being used as the ones to send the msg. I just ignore all PM's and delete them immediately. There is a group on bebo combating this and they give you instructions. ie agree to neither send or recieve PM's until this is resolved. delete all msgs till that point, make your profile private, regular virus checks, report as much as you can (not so good if its your friends becuase they get a posting ban put on) ummm can't think of anything else. Even if your profile is private, it doesn't mean you're protected....as your friends can get it. I got the "what are you doing in this video" email too ..and i see heaps of those "check out my photo" or " I think your cute" posts on friends pages...I'm a bit over Bebo now...got the hang of the whole facebook thing (took a while though LOL)

Seems a bit off that Bebo doesn't do anything about it either

Yep it is a virus and Bebo (as far as I know) aren't doing anything about it. Don't open the link thou as your friends will then get the messages from you.

Apparently I sent 4 to people on sunday from my parents computer. It was strange, as it was like the computer had taken control of my mouse and was automatically trying to send emails to friends.
