Oh gosh, that's awful!  Your poor friends and their poor son.

It's amazing how children can manage to damage themselves on everyday things (I think I've told people before about my nephew who had the tip of his finger chopped off by an oil heater) and yet sometimes they manage to come out unscathed when you're sure they're bound to have really hurt themselves this time.

Yes, thank goodness I bought a whole box of iceblocks recently (I normally don't). 

Although my first reaction was to sprint to the station and catch the first train home I've decided not to.  As much as I'd love to go home and cuddle my little lass her father is the 2nd best person in the world to be with at times like this and she's over it now anyway chances are she wouldn't want me smothering her with kisses and cuddles plus it's nap time and no-one's going to thank me for keeping her up just so I can get my Michaela fix after that great big fright.  I'm still prepared to pop home if for any reason she becomes sore or unsettled but at this stage I'm staying at work.

On another note OMG look at your weight loss G - great work!!  Maybe we should do lunch soon to celebrate

I agree completely!  The problem is not knowing what's going on and whether to travel North (home) or South (to the hospital)   That's why I hate being at work at times like this.  I'm at least 30 mins away from her.

Thankfully DH and Michaela just called back.  She was trapped with the drawers on top of her legs (not her torso thank goodness).  DH thinks the vomiting was due to getting so upset (not surprising) and although she's super cuddly and still sobbing she's also walking and keen for an iceblock. 

She should have some mean bruises tomorrow.

She's promised not to climb her draws again (vain child was trying to look at herself in the mirror) but no doubt she'll forget about this incident soon enough.  She fell off the top of our picnic table onto the concrete a couple of weeks ago promised not to do it ever again and then I caught her climbing up there again last night.  Oh to have a girly girl who sits still and plays with dolls.
