Me too but I know someones DH (just as a class mate) and I did let her know in a thread like this. Then I think it got removed because there was to much info in it, not embarrassing stuff just private stuff like where they lived and last names etc, anyway in hind sight a PM would have been more appropriate but I was new here and didn't know any better.

Well I have been in this situation as one lady on here went to school with my DH. She asked me to confirm it was him and we have met each other at met ups a number of time, and we are pretty cool about it (well I think we, aren't we Janine ).

Its wierd isnt it...have been thinking about this all day...and have decided to just leave it be. Am highly unlikely to meet this person IRL (if I did I would prob say something)....but I figure that everyone changes and everyone does stuff at school they arent proud of.

Is the OB member who is married to this person very nice, do you like them ? ( im sure they are , since they are a member on here)
If so , then she probably wouldn't marry someone who wasnt nice, ...in other words, hes most likely changed a lot .

About 4 years ago I went to a xmas do for my partners work. He saw his mates and we went and sat at their table. And sitting at the table was his mate, with whom I had gone to school with and he was an absolute Ahole to me at school. He used to punch me all the time and call me names. This was at intermediate. I was very intimidated by him so never told the teachers. However, I did tell my sister who was 4 years older than me and she came down to pick me up from school one day and told him what for and he didn't hassle me (much) after that.

I never said anything at the work do, but I'm sure he was trying to pick where he knew me from......bear in mind it had been about 19 years!

Then last year this mate came over to our house. It was here that I told him what a jerk he was at school and he couldn't remember. But he did say that a few ppl had said the same thing and he couldn't remember bullying them either! Go figure.

OMG. This made me remember something that happened to me...when I was on NZWP I realised I 'knew' (in the biblical sense!) one of the other girls DF/DH's. I NEVER said anything about it.

But in your case I think you have two options. If you want to forget about it and put the past behind you then don't say a thing. BUT if you want to either see if this person has grown into a nicer adult OR you want to touch base and get rid of some of the old ghosts then I say PM them and see what happens - just be aware the outcome might not be pretty.

Good luck either way. And if it's my DH - ignore the above advice, PM me and I will kick his butt for you. I'm not a fan of bullies!

I personally, probably wouldnt say anything.. Unless its the kind of dilemm where your going to meet that person and hes going to be there!

's though i hate bullies, and i feel terrible for bullying a guy in high school too!

But people grow up and change, and although he may have been a nasty bully back then, he might have changed now. Well i hope he has.

People change a lot from school - I ran into a girl I used to go to school with the other day. She didn't really torment me personally, but was just a general cow, and was really nasty to some people. When I met her recently, though, she seemed really nice. Interesting dilemma - what would you do if you discovered (purely by chance) that someone on OB is married to someone you knew from school. BUT that person (who you knew from school) tortured you and was really nasty to you (in that awful teenage kind of way) - and you remember it vividly?

Would you say anything or would you ignore it?
