There's been a bit of media coverage recently about how heating plastic can release a chemical called BPA into the liquid/food. (BPA can apparently cause reproductive problems, early periods in girls etc. I decided to change to glass after reading the latest Parents Centre mag on the issue.)

I'm not sure if TT bottles contain BPA, but I know that Avent - which we use, I have an Avent breastpump - do.

We bought the Evenflo glass bottles from   Nature Baby. Clara took to it easily, but it does take her longer to empty the bottle, as she has to keep pulling away for air. (Is that because of the rigidity of the glass? Or maybe it's just the different shape). Nature Baby also sells the Green to Grow BPA-free plastic bottles, which come in a wide-neck size if you're worried about wind. None of the Medela plastic bottles have the bad stuff in them - you can use those

ETA: adding link that talks about BPA and also confirms Medela bottles are free of it

You can buy them here - haven't tried them though sorry.

I've been wondering how to get DS to accept cold milk from the fridge (to avoid the need to heat it in his plastic bottles) too, as we'll be switching from formula to cows milk soon.
