Medela all the way
Medela are the ones used in hospitals too so I figure they know their stuff. Avent are good but not that good

I've got a tommee tippee closer to nature manual pump, and i find it really handy. with expressing, take advantage of the time 1st thing in the morning when you've just fed bubs and put them down for a sleep, when partner isnt around, get comfy and just relax while you do it. It's the only me-time i get in my hectic day, i get to watch tv or read my magazine, and i normally get enough milk from that morning expression for 1 full feed (which means i can hand bubs to my partner and go have a shower, uninterupted.) I have a Avent Isis Uno as well and I love it, easy to use and I liked that it was both manual and electric. Comfortable to use as well.

I love my avent if I had known expressing could be so easy would have done it with the boy's.
E.T.A: mine is a manuel and it only takes' me about half hour to get off over 100ml course this depend's on when I express.

I've still got the Avent Isis manual I bought when Maya was a baby, and it survived 10 weeks of full time expressing for the gremlins. I found the Avent really good. I have a manual, and it was fine, even when I was expressing everything for 4 days while Daniel had surgery. I have the Medela, and its great! ive never had a problem from it and can fill bottles in 5 - 10mins. The Avent bottles have that BPA stuff (sp) when heated so watch out which ones you do choose.

We got an Avent Isis Uno which had an electric and manual pump option. And it was brilliant!!!! We got ours 2nd hand but just sterilised it well. You don't need to buy brand new if price is an issue.

hi, wondering if anyone could tell me anything about breast pumps. Am wanting to get one so that DH can feed baby at night but am unsure about want sort to get. The electric ones look good but are so expensive. Are they worth the extra money if it is just for one or 2 feeds a day? What is the different between the Aventi and the mandala?
