Its better to get things sorted now with as much help a possible. Drugs along are not going to help you work throgh thr feeling/issues u have from the birth, and help you to cope day-to -day with how u are feeling now.  <br />Sorry I have no idea what PNAP is!]]>

I havent been there yet. J and my GP seem to disagree...J thinks Id benefit from it, gp thinks I just need more drugs...Im heading to the gp tomorrow and am so nervous! I dont really know, like, HOW to tell him how crap everything is...if that makes sense. Like J knew what to ask and can put into words what i cant really say]]>

The service is usually made up of social workers, counsellers, phycologists,  and nurses.<br /><br />Where in nz are u? Services and waiting times vary greatly bewteen areas. Christchurch have a really good mother and baby unit, I dont know where else there is a specific mental health in-patient unit for mothrs and babies.]]>

Finding a prvate couseller may be very expensive- also with the ptsd u may benefit from seeing a phycologist for some phycotherapy,..strategies and therapies to help u deal and process,..a more involved, structured type of therapy than straight counselling. Contact your GP for referral.]]>
