It depends on how full my load is. If I have a full load then I use one scoop, if half a load I use half a scoop, if I'm only washing a couple of nappies (like I do now that Leo is day trained) then I just give the nappies a cold rinse first and then put them in the wash with kids clothes so that I do a full load at once.

I've just switched to using the Ecostore powder (it's great & a box lasts such a long time). How much do you put in with a load of nappies? I realise it's quite concentrated compared to other brands... I just stripped my nappies yesterday and today has been amazing! No leaks, and they can stay on forever. I just use persil sensitive and dettol wash in every load and wash in cold water and dry in the sun, we have no drier. I wash all the kids clothes and nappies together.

I just use our regular washing powder (currently persil sensitive) on a cold cycle. About once a month I put them through a hot cycle if they get a bit smelly.

The powder shouldn't make any difference I wouldn't have thought. Why don't you try adding a wee bit more to your wash. Are you washing in cold?

I always found with cold washes the nappies seemed to need stripping more, so I always washed on a 60-70 degree heat.

Others use the Canesten or Dettol rinse in the wash and swear by it as well. I use a liquid when we were on holiday in Aussie last year and had so much trouble rinsing it out - I had to rinse the nappies 6+ times after washing just to ge the bubbles out!!!
