He'd usually have 1 or 2 full feeds in that time but the rest were virtually non-existant. Apaprently nursing strikes are common so my advice would be to stick at it & keep offering. Hopefully she'll come right soon.

I didn't get a tummy bug when I was BF'ing but sounds like she doesn't like the taste maybe? Does BM taste funny if you're sick?? Or she maybe feeling a little yuk herself.

I'd just keep at it and I'm sure she will get back into the swing of things? Have you thought of maybe contacting your local La Leche League? They maybe have some suggestions.
Good luck!

    Author: my2girls
Subject: 22926
Posted: 04 December 2008 at 7:37am

My DD has decided yesterday and today that she doesnt really want to feed of me..... im not sure whats wrong, shes still happy.

I have had a tummy bug the past few days and my milk went really low and she fed alot the first night waking heaps, and then then yesterday she hardly fed off me and her nappies were hardly wet all day (just a little wet each time i changed her, say every 3hrs). Even last night when she went to bed she only had one side, and i had to try for ages for her to take it. She woke 3 times during the night (which she usually does) and had a feed off one side then each time for a few mins. She isnt really a big solids eater yet and will only have a couple of teaspoons for dinner.

When she starts to feed let down happens and milk is squirting out like usual but she keeps pulling off and playing really!!

Any ideas? im not sure whether its a nursing strike, because i have been sick, because she might not be feeling well (although she is happy), or something else. ....

Sorry for the big ramble.
