Thanks for that jacjac, we have started going to the one in welcome bay - apparently most of the others in town have a waiting list!!!! Well we are moving back up on Oct 20th and although I was born and bred in Tauranga, being that I'm only 18 all of my friends are either at Uni or more concerned with how many beers they can consume. Hi Shan. We're doing pretty good. Kaelen is great with Isabella now. Her reflux is still quite bad but she is slowly starting to cry less. So that's a slight improvement. How are you and Faith doing?

Have organised another for THursday 8 April at Memorial Park, from 11.30 onwards. Theres quite a few mummies coming, so feel free to come along, the more the merrier!

Andriea - am pretty much permanently based in Tga now, with the odd trip up to Auckland. I am really like it down here, just at that stage where I wish I knew a few more people to do things with! Have started to meet a few people through Plunket PEPE course etc.

The details for McLaren Falls were meant to go on the Council website on Friday but they're not there yet, should be available pretty soon though.

Anthea - one idea is to maybe take your little one to baby swim classes? I noticed that Bay City Cinemas do a 'Babes N Arms' session, usually on a Wednesday. Is anyone keen to go along sometime?
At the moment they're screening Valentine's Day, which I'd rather not see really, so might wait until they screen something decent!

Also, on Sunday 21st March we are putting on an outdoor event at McLaren Falls park, there will be music and food and it will all be very family friendly, hopefully some of you can come along! I will post more details once I have them.

Looks like I won't be coming along to the picnic, ds has just settled to sleep and hasn't been sleeping well lately so I am loathe to wake him!

I came across this the other day and thought some of you might be interested, there's a netball group for Mums both in Tauranga and the Mount, it only costs $2 a game and they look after your baby/children while you play

Hi Everyone, sorry not on here all that often. Picnic on Wednesday still on, Crash away 11.30ish onwards, BYO blanket and lunch, the more the merrier. At this stage looks like besides anyone on here there is about 10 mums coming, all with babies under 9 months, some have older kids as well that are coming along too.

I don't know anyone on here, but my bubs was born on 16 sept 09, and have a whole heap of friends/antenatal group with babies born recently, so have organised a picnic lunch on Weds 27 January at 11.30am at Memorial Park (the QE@ End) under the trees, BYO lunch and blanket :)

Hiya,

just discovered this thread, I'm keen to join you all for a meet up sometime soon too if that's sweet. Andriea, Deb and I have been meaning to meet up, since we're all on the November bubs thread, and it hasn't happened yet, so we can kill two birds with one stone! (that's not such a nice saying really when you think about it)

Looks like a few people are keen to meet up but some more concrete plans are needed... I don't really know the area well enough to suggest anything myself, does someone want to suggest a tentative date/time/location and go from there? I'm pretty flexible myself, mid-morning is usually a good time, perhaps one day in the next week or two?

well it seems I may not be able to make it after all. Woke up this mornin and DH's car has a flat tyre which seems relativly simple to fix doesnt it. Well it would be if the lock nut key thing was there for the mags, seems one of the lovely kids may have taken it god knows where.
