Hey also.....take an empty water bottle with you though the check point & fill it up at the fountains on the other side.

Yeah you can but it is expensive. If you go through security early once you are through you can buy stuff to take on the plance through there. I go me a bottle of coke and some chippies and there was no problem with them.

I flew Pacific Blue a few months ago. I told them what I had for the boys and they just asked me to put it in their plastic bags and have it out so when you went through they knew what you had for the kids.

I've been told that I can take all the food / formula I need on the flights. (AirNZ and Lufthansa) Once they're opened I can't take them off the plane which is fair enough.

I had jars of it in my carry on and in my main bag and they never even asked to look at it i just made sure i declared it and then when they scanned the bags they knew what they were looking at and didnt need me to open them up. I had them still sealed getting onto the flight because i thought if they had been opened i would be allow the food but they never even checked.

They are really good about kids stuff id had 2 bottles with water in them for formula and a bottle of juice and they were happy with that even tho they say you can only carry enough for the flight on the website (we had were going to brisbane and i needed the extra for the drive to surfers and the waiting around in customs)

I know America can be a lot more suspicious of you tho so if you are heading there you might be asked to taste it.

   to take a jar of baby food on an international flight?

The jar is 110g and I thought the personal limit for each passenger is 100ml??

I am hoping there is a knowledgable traveller with kids who can inform me of this!
