dh had to get his ring resized up on our honeymoon.... only for it to no longer fit him, and it falls off all the time. i told him he just has to get fat again. That was how my mum managed to lose her wedding ring. She went over to australia and her fingers swelled up with the heat so she got the ring enlarged, then when she came back to NZ her fingers shrank again and she lost her ring.

My engagement ring was from Michael Hill, it's a single princess cut diamond ring, i love it nice and simple, I have picked out the wedding band i want. It's a gold band with i think 9 princess cut diamonds in it...JK has also decided on what he wants but we will have to get that made. We haven't even got a date yet so the bands are along way off...hehehe...

Yah My engagement ring is a single diamond (with good clearity.....cant remember the exact code)and wedding band 8 diamonds on it. I dont like things that are too shiny or attracts attention so mine is small and yet suits my finger very well.

ps i took the pic on my honeymoon. hence the long fingernails. hee hee. Still waiting for my eternity ring. me thinks it will be a long way off as far more important things to spend our money on these days. But when we do get around to it it will be the same as wedding band. Although am thinking now of getting my kids and robs birth stones put in it. Carmel I love your wedding band and the sentiments behind it.

I guess I should say the prices too, totally forgot. Mine basically look like yours Jennz, but your wedding band is my eternity one and it only has 7 diamonds. Engagement was around $2,500 but we got a big discount on that. dont have a pic of mine but the ladies that worked at MHJ would know wot mine looks like.it was $799 and is a 9ct white gold band with an oval Tanzanite(blueish purpleish colour) n the centre and 2 smaller daimonds (one on either side of Tanz) it s a rubover setting?? and theres 2 small normal gols bands on the very outside of the stones.Did i describe it fairly well Jenn and Jacobsmama lol

my wedding bad will be from camerons jewellers here in palmy and wil be 9ct white gole band with 3 small diamonds which align wiith the 3 stones on my eng ring.the band will cost around $300 and has to be specially made due to the oval Tanz stone.was the cheapest and closest to the type of band i am after.

Naths ring however will be titanium or similar and no fuss on the $300 buk ones at MH so an $80-$100 jobby from warehouse is fine by him lol

This is my engagement ring. It is platinum with a very dark blue sapphire in the middle and two diamonds on the sides. I can't remember exactly what it cost but think it was around $4500.

Mine engagement ring is a 3/4 (.75) carat diamond- Colour e Clarity SI1- it was about $5000.
Wedding band is a 8 diamond channel set that was $699.
Both from MH (I used to work there too! While I was at uni- it was where I got my jewellery fetish ).

oooh I like this thread, especially since I work for Michael Hill.

Here is my ring, RRP $2295, sometimes comes on special for about $1895? (bottom left hand corner) it is a half carat total diamond weight princess cut solitaire with princess cut shoulders. The centre stone is semi bezel (or rub over) in white gold, the rest is in yellow, all 18ct. The wedding band I have chosen is a quarter carat p/cut channel set jobbie that fits perfectly with it, and the .50 ct or 1 carat for the ET band...

My engagement ring is gold with a ruby in the middle (birth stone) with a diamond either side. ($695)

I don't have a pic of mine but mine are as follows:

Engagement ring - 1/3 carrat solataire diamond ring from Michael Hill
Wedding ring - 6 channel set diamonds witha twist bit in the middle from 5th Avenue

Hey girls

Since we have a wedding post i thought how about a wedding ring post where we post up pics of engagement rings and wedding rings, i got creative with my rings and i would love to see what everyone else has i love rings!! hehe Be cool to post prices up so people getting married or engaged can see what they can get for their money.

Heres mine from Michael Hill Jeweller:

Engagement Ring - $1700 - White Gold with 8 Channel set diamonds and a bigger diamond (i have no idea what size lol)
Wedding Ring - $800 - White Gold with 9 Channel Set diamonds
