10 weeks, not really early is it? Once you've made it to 10 may as well not bother until the 12 week one anyway.

totally.. yes he is like that(leaving things to mw..he wanted me to have early scan but couldnt find the right code...lol maybe i will get one earlier than the ten weeks he wanted...hopefully!

I would be surprised if she doesn't send you to have them done, but if not just ask her. My mw was surprised that your doc hadn't got them done, but I suppose maybe your doc prefers to leave it to your mw. My mw leaves everything to your doc until you get to 12 weeks. firstly he didnt know..and I have checked..most of my computer friends have bloods done but none of my IRL friends..my doc says it's not standard..it frustrates me:( but i cant force him.

yeah i think so too about the work thing i probably got all manner of things and didn't know:) rubella just scared me cause its one of the few nasty things to affect a new fetus.

I am assuming my mw will want to send me for first bloods tomorrow? I've always been tested as soon as BFP has been confirmed. So the latest that was was 6 weeks with Spencer. I find it odd your doc didn't just do the bloods on Monday.
But anyway I'm sure you are fine, some people like Mcploppy don't keep their immunity but mostly everyone else does and if you were one that didn't it would have shown up when you were tested with E and you would have been revaccinated at the end of your last pregnancy.

As the others have said you should be fine, mine was getting low with my last preg & was meant to get a top up but didn't so was very very borderline this time, you would prob have been told with E if you needed to get a top up before you got preg again.

I had the jab at 12 and was not immune for my first pregnancy so after the mc I was immunized and was immune for my second child but my third pregnancy my immunity was "low". In most cases the immunity is for life but occasionally it wears off, which is why they test it when you're pg even if you have been tested before. I never had the MMR injection- was suppose to have it when I was 11, but I hated needles and managed to convience my Mum I would have it later on (but never did). So...before we started TTC I got tested to see if I was immune to rubella and I was- my doc said that some people have natural immunity to it.

I got my MMR jab when I was 12, just asked my dad he said its a life long thing.

I really wouldnt worry K.A, when you think about it, you are exposed to all these things in everday life, when you shop, walking down the street. Try not to worry

I may have been exposed to the rubella virus(not sure and no way to know for sure) if i was immune last june (07) would I still be immune now?
