Any opened ones' I'd ditch in the bins before entering the customs area at the other end, that is the same as other food I take for myself on the flight. <br /><br />The formula take a sealed one for when you get there & declare it. Not sure about the open formula.<br /><br />As long as you declare things they are pretty happy, it's what you don't declare that they will take you to task over. so if in doubt over declare.<br /><br />]]>

Nowhere else, except maybe Australia, is as strict about food and things coming into their country .. I remember leaving a whole lolly cake on board our Air NZ plane when we moved to Hong Kong .. only to realise there is essentially no "customs" guy to talk to - let along MAF - at HK airport <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0"><br /><br />(sorry, going a bit off track now lol)]]>

AirNZ told me I wouldn't have to taste any jars but any open ones I'd have to leave behind.<br />Seriously, it look like I'm stocking a shop with the amount of jars I have. <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley8.gif" border="0"> <br /><br />I tried Woollies, Countdown & the warehouse in J'ville for the divider thingies but no joy. I bought the ones I have in Pak n Save a few months ago. No problems then just get water off the cabin crew.  As for jars, never heard about not taking opened ones off, we had to as one jobsworth security guy at Manchester made me open all /Fays jars and taste them (bloody disgusting) so we had to take open jars on and off the planes]]>

The girls are on Soy so can't buy sachets so will be taking the travel containers and maybe the tin in the carry on baggage. ]]>
