I reminded my older kids how little a baby is and especially how little it is at the moment and how they need to help look after their brother/sister and now they are very protective .

I constantly get kicked by Chloe while trying to change her as my arms seem to be growing shorter every day (and her legs longer) Last pregnancy I got a soccer ball to the stomach REALLY hard, and I had this huge painful contraction and it hurt like heck... got all checked out and bubs was fine. I was sure that it would have killed her!! But they are really quite protected in there.

It certainly helped me when I told Alia that she was hurting her little brother, once he was named it was much easier again.

If she is hurting me then I tell her & if she doesn't stop then I push her off or put her down etc until she can be nice. The worse is the chin in the bump, surprisingly that hurts.

She went straight to hospital, got checked out, had a scan and bub was fine. So I'd say there is quite a bit of cushioning in there and bub probably doesn't notice it at all.
