Thanks guys. After reading your comments I rang plunket line & the nurse agreed & said it should have dried out by now, so we went to the docs this morning & Matt had to have it burnt. I was expecting tears, but it didn't seem to bother him at all! Yeah, alcohol wipes were good for keeping it clean. I can't remember how long it took for Han's to dry out but give your plunket lady or midwife a call to check it out. I think there is a chance they can become infected??!!? Ohhh...it should have dried out by now. Zaara;s belly button fell off at 12 days and they became a bit sore looking. How long does it take the belly button area to dry out after the stump drops off? I thought at over 9 weeks of age Matthew's would have dried up by now, but it's still a bit yucky at times. I'm cleaning it with a cotton wool bud a few times a day - just don't know whether I should get it checked out, or just leave it?
