You don't need to go to a doctor if AF turned up around the time it was due or only a few days late. So sorry Booboo. You probably don't need to see the doc unless you get concerned about your bleeding, it should just be like a normal period for you but if worse it wouldn't hurt to the see the doc.
I had a natural m/c at 6 weeks 2 days and although I saw the doc they didn't do anything they just let it run its course and told me to ring on call doc if the bleeding or pain got really bad. Def try it first thing in the morning. I had three tests (some same brand and some diff). On that peeonastick website it says that the manufacturer might advertise a level of 25 but three tests in one pack could all vary, so say one picks up 20 one 10 and one 15. So what the manufacturer advertises is what they guarantee to pick up but they are normally more sensitive than that. Same as darkness of lines can vary because of variance in the dye levels even with the same brand.

Thanks guys - weird thing is it is the same brand that I used yesterday and today!

It definately wasnt an evaporation line because it was pink so Im SURE it wasnt - but then guess what I have now just had some red blood?!

A line is usually a line, though the exception is for evaporation lines - those are normally a really pale grey color... whereas a very faint (but still positive) line is pretty close in color to what it should be.

You can definitely get a BFP with one test and then a BFN with another brand, some of them vary in sensitivity ie: the amount of HCG they are set to detect in your urine. I know the Discover brand are meant to show positive from 15ml/iu, a couple of others are 25ml/iu and some are not set to show positive until 50ml/iu.

I'm not sure about the spotting though hun, as I haven't experienced this myself - but from what I have heard from others it can be very common and totally benign (as in not a bad sign or anything).

False BFPs are very rare but false BFN's are not. The sensitivity of the tests even with the same brand can vary so the second test may not have been as sensitive as the first.
Was the first BFP a definite line or could it have been an evap line? Evap lines are normally greyish rather than the pink or blue(depending on brand).

With the spotting though it could be a chemical pregnancy, I hope it isn't though.
I would take another test tomorrow and see what happens then.
