Yeah DH and I have both had to do as this as well to keep Ella entertained- problem is you do it once and she shouts 'more,more,more'.

Ella seems to be almost proud of any bumps or bruises she gets. She is looking a bit sad that the graze of her knee is healed now and keeps walking around going 'all gone,all gone' and pointing to her knee. Ah well.....must be time for another bump

Alia is almost 5 and she still gets bumps & bruises! Especially one particular spot on her forehead!

I have found that when I give her a series of zinc tablets she bruises less.

Ha ha. We actually do that! It's even funnier when mummy or daddy does it and walks into walls/trips over furniture.

As for the bumps and bruises you should see Michaela's legs, from the knee down it's all scratches and bruises which vary in shade so you can tell how recent they were. Last summer she continuously grazed her knees and when she was a bit younger she constantly had bumps on her head from walking into things. I think their bodies are just faster than their minds (and in Michaela's case if she wouldn't insist on dancing down the stairs she wouldn't fall down them quite so often).

Yip Ella seems like she always has a scraped knee (or boo-boo as she calls it) or something and has no fear. I think she actually likes having a 'boo boo' and everyone we meets she points out her latest 'boo boo' and then makes them kiss it

Yup, Benjy is absolutely chronic for it.
He is always two steps ahead of himself thinking about his intended destination and forgets to think about how he has to get there!
He turns around to talk to people and carries on walking, so crashes into stuff.
And to top it off he is a daredevil too!

Yup, very typical of our kids age. Sam is such a dare devil, she has no idea of what fear is.

Kids will be kids hun, dont worry they are tough things! There will be LOTS more bumps and bruises aswell, my brothers were really rough and tumble boys when theyw ere little and they are all perfectly fine teengagers/adults.

My youngest brother went running into the kitchen from the pool outside and slipped and face planted, knocked himself out and he had the nastiest bruise/black eye id ever seen! But he recovered just fine

I know it's pretty inevitable to prevent the odd bump/knock when it comes to toddlers ...but sometimes I get REALLY paranoid about how often Lucas seems to hurt himself! Just simple things like not watching where he's running/walking and then *bang* or jumping/getting overexcited and bumping his head on something! Today he managed to get yet another bump on his forehead ....AHHH! Seriously how many knocks can their poor little heads take?

Please tell me I'm NOT the only mother out there with a toddler that likes to think he can fly mid-air or can see/walk/run with his eyes shut!

Is there a point where I should start worrying? Or is it just a case of them being pretty resilient and hopefully a phase he should grow out of? (probably know the answer to this, but i guess im looking for reassurance!)

We had a period of about 4 or so months where he didn't get to so much as a scratch on him, and now its back to the same old same old. Today for instance, BIG line/bump down the left side of his forehead where he ran into the window sill

. Made one hell of a sound, he was so upset for ages after!

Please tell me this is normal for their age
