When we told the girls, Ashlyn turned around & said "I know there is a baby in your tummy mum, its a baby sister for us and her name is Lilly!"  At that stage we didn't have any clue what we were having and Karl still doesn't so I have to be careful what I say.  But we still ask them we may have a boy.  She says "thats ok so long as he is like a girl!?"

As for how the baby comes out, mummy you will go to the hospital and the Dr will take the baby out of your tummy and then we can bring it home.  They have both seen pictures of their c-section births (not very gory).  They have both come with me to the "baby dr" mw appt and heard the babies heartbeat, they also had the mw convinced we are having a girl so I had to throw a spanner in the works there as she doesn't want to know either

I haven't told my two sons yet as I wanted to wait till I'm past the first trimester. But they have been asking me to have a baby for ages as they wanted to both be big brothers to a bub lol. But my oldest (5yrs) informed me that the baby comes out my 2nd hole down below lol. Ahh, gotta love their innocence.

Keira was too convinced she had a baby in her tummy and she was always telling her baby to stop kiking her
She thought Maddi was in my tummy because she was hiding and too shy to come out, even after Keira contually asking her very politley to come out.

Apparently when went to the hospital the midwife took her out of my belly button, took out all her teeth and we played with playdough (from the vernix - at least thats what I think its called - all over her face)

Oh and Apparently Maddi was going to sleep on the shelf above Keiras bed, (a foot from the ceiling) and when she cried we would have to put her out the window

I'm involving the kids in everything I've let them think they're choosing everything for the bub so their excited and don't feel left out or anything, and they watch wat I eat and like to guess whther the baby is eating it too?? With our new house being settled today I've told them baby will have it's own room. My son wants to read to the baby and teach it everything he knows!! Haha...that's so funny...my friends 5 year old could apparently hear her little sister giggling & telling storys to her when she had her ear on her mums tummy.

Alia on the other hand is prepared to change Diapers.....now where did that come from as I would have only used the word Nappy, but she also announced she can speak spanish & then did LMAO...good on Dora!

Also the baby is going to sleep in her room & the new room is actually going to be a big playroom!

Actually what have people said incase they ask/want to know how Mum is going to get this baby out.

Our little 5 (nearly 6) year old foster son 'knew' there was a baby in my tummy...even before we told him! How the hell he knew that is beyond me.

He also was convinced it was a baby boy, it couldn't possibly have been anything else in his eyes....and before we found out it was a girl (oops), he told me he had thought up the perfect name for the new baby:

 

BABY JESUS.  

 

I gently suggested people might get confused if there were 2 baby Jesus's but he looked at me with scorn and said 'NO'. It's a moot point anyway now we know we're having a girl. He's very disapointed. Girls don't like Ben 10 you see lol  (I didn't have the heart to tell him the baby wouldn't be a ready to go playmate for him regardless of the sex! lol)

ha Caitlyn (little charmer ) tells DF that he looks like there is a baby in his tummy , but she knows that only women have babies in their tummies and its called being pregnant .
Still , she tells DF that hes going to be as big as me , and he should exercise.

ah, C knows that the baby is in my tummy, she also monitors what I eat , (bossylittlebi*ch) and when I was tapping my tummy the other day she said "do you really think the baby needs that mum" and gave me such a look of contempt ...
she has also informed me that in 8 years she will have one in her tummy as well.
Lucky I wont be around to see that, cos it will happen over my dead body ....

DD thinks she has a baby in her tummy too. When I go to the midwife we have to listen to her baby's heart beat with the doppler, hehe!
I think she's going to be very disappointed when I have bubs and she doesn't get one.

She also gives her baby 'sister' (does she know something we dont?) hugs and kisses which is very cute.

I made sure I talked about and told my 3yo sister the name of my baby quite early on in my pregnancy, to get her used to the fact that she would have to share me as I spend a lot of time with her.
Through the pregnancy she was just as obsessed with baby as I was - she would request to watch the video of the scan over and over every time she came around and say things like "she's looking at me!", so cute

What do your kids think about the baby?

According to Michaela when the baby is big enough my belly button's going to *POP* and the baby will come out of there.

When I asked her where the baby was going to sleep once it comes to live at our house she told me that it's going to sleep in the lounge .....with daddy so apparently they're both getting kicked out of my room (fine by me if he does the nightime wakeups too lol).

When I was pregnant with Michaela I was playing with my 3yo nephew and his mum told him to be careful of the baby.  He looked perplexed so I asked him where the baby was and he told me it was at home in my wardrobe.
