It has a bad reputation for bleaching things. And in future, never put anything in direct sunlight that's had any stain remover type agent on it - you're playing with fire.

Still - sucky about the pants

The first time he wears them he comes home with some tiny blue ink stains near the bottoms. I didn't think it would come out but used sunlight soap then soaked overnight in a bucket with a bit of washing power and nappisan. I washed them this morning and went to hang them out. The ink stains are gone but now there are yellowish patches all over them. Any idea what happened and if it can come out? I hung them on the line this morning hoping that the sun might bleach it out but it is overcast here today.

Argh, what a waste of pants!
