lol Sam! Now I have the vegemite song in my head too (the Peanut Butter Nutter song tried but couldn't drive it out). But at least it's pushed out the "Chicken Boo" song we've recently taken to singing to JJ.

My DH is the same as pretty much everyone else's. We've got code in our house now though, if he asks me where something is and it's in the proper place (like keys in the key jar, for instance), the answer is "in the butter conditioner". (Does anyone remember that ad from the old marg/butter ad wars, the kid preparing a midnight snack? "oh no, where's the butter?" Random thoughts....love it...what a great idea MM!!!

My life is just a series of random thoughts though - so I wouldnt know where to start.

So here are mine for the day - Even though my DH says its okay for me to spend money on things, why do I still feel so guilty?

Where did my son learn to giggle after he farts? (its adorable BTW!)

What sort of night class should I do - art or cooking?

Becks - I wish I could have had the day off too. I talked to my mum last night and they'd been away at their Beach section with some of the family (19 of them!!!) and she was telling me how they all went down and played cricket on the beach etc. Now I'm homesick again! My one is why when DH did the washing last night why didn't he put everyhting in the dryer and not just his uniform . I just went to do washing it was still sitting there and it was a hot day here so I have to rewash that and still wash today's stuff

mine is more to do with electronic equipment....our TV MUST be interconnected with dvd/stereo/sky/kitchen blender etc etc and of course operating such a confusing mess is not as simple as just pushing the ON button.

So apparently, as soon as i actually figure out how to use the multiple remotes to watch or listen to anything, it is a necessity to buy new contraptions and re-wire the lounge, and we're back to me not being able to operate the bloody TV! and whenever i ask, all i get is - push the blah blah button (as if i were an idiot) now it's not like i'm electronically incompetent, but when you need 3 remotes just to watch the TV!!! I believe there is a term for men not finding things that are right in front of them if dh does this i will often ask him if he had a man look or a mothers look.

My DH is awesome with cooking and housework (even changing the toilet roll and putting the seat down), and getting me things when I ask him - he just about always does whatever I ask of him, which constantly has me impressed. And he always apologises quickly if we ever have a "discussion" haha.

But like other guys... he is totally useless with finding things he will get in a grump if whatever he wants to find isn't just suddenly at his fingertips, and he will start throwing the couch cushions off the couch, sweeping things off tables etc. instead of calmly looking around for what is "lost". It drives me mad.

Another thing is that he doesn't like talking to people on the phone. My DF is much like the other men - looks for something, can't find it, so asks me. "Where are the paper towels?" hrmmm on the shelf where they usually are. "No they're not" - are you sure, cos I'm looking at them right now. He still couldn't see them (on the shelf where they normally are). And last night - the fly spray was sitting on the coffee table right in front of him. "Hun, where's the fly spray?" I just looked pointedly at the coffee table. "Oh" he said.   LOL

He's not so bad really...just that stuff around the house isn't his forte. Mind you, neither is outside stuff unless it involves his racing car....although to give him credit, since we found out I'm pregnant, he's cooked tea most nights and done the dishes (thsi is UNHEARD of!!) because I'm just so darned knackered that I can't be bothered. Ooh have to join in, DH is fine finding things in the kitchen, but he would never ever look for anything, he will always ask where it is first, which drives me nuts, why can't you have a look first.

Um, I actually have the perfect DH.
I woke at 3 am this morning with a nasty headache so I woke him up and asked him to get me 2 wet flannels for my head and neck, he did it straight away without question. Then just as he got back into bed I asked him to get me my codiene, not only did he fetch it from the bathroom, he brought the bottle back to me and got a pill out and put it in my hand.
Then when my (also perfect) daughter woke up at 8am he got her, changed her and brought her in to me to feed, then he put her back to bed.
He got up and did several loads of washing while I slept in.

I don't know why he is so good to me. I am always asking him to do stuff for me and he just does it! He never asks me to do anything.

The only complaint I have is that if he eats a cherry or stone fruit he leaves the pip/stone on the nearest surface. There are a few on the window sill in the kitchen, many next to his computer, a couple on the table and one next to the basin in the bathroom . I don't think that will ever happen in our house, he'll get a new roll out, but do you think he know how to remove the empty one and put it on the holder, NO!

At least yours doesnt go bonkers if you put the cups away with the handles facing 0.1 degrees off where he likes them to go.
And at LEAST he doesnt go crazy if the coaster your coffee cup is turned 0.25 degrees.

My DH gets his towel, flannel, socks, boxers/undies, shirt and pants all lined up for work the night before.
He also has a lot of bits and pieces that go on his work uniform like badges and things that clip on his belt. He lines these all up on our dresser in a line.

One day he asked me to get her towel etc ready for him as he was busy, simple, right?
I got in trouble for not unrolling his socks and lying them over his boxers. Sorry my bad, I had them lying UNDER his boxers.

And he denies having OCD
