Hi everyone just thought I'd come back on here again.  My hours at work are changeable, but now I've cut them back a little. 

Brooke is now 2 1/2 and growing like a little mushroom.  We're TTC baby No 2, so hopefully not too far away as I'm not getting younger!

I'm Dawn, a stay at home mum to my daughter (17 months) and a wee boy on the way.

If you want to meet up anytime I'm available after lunch most days and Wednesdays all day from next month.

Definitely ring up before the holidays for a spot in the next terms swim classes. The earlier you call the more picky you can be on day choice (such as a weekend if Dad wants to do the class or other groups you might have going). The classes aren't really for them as such at this age, but more for parents to learn safe holds etc.

We found out today that the new baby is a BOY! so cool to have one of each. It's amazing how quick it goes second time around. The only preparations I've made for the new baby is putting a manduca on layby which I should get next week. Heaps more to go, need to start sorting baby stuff now that I know what I can get rid of because it's pink.

MooCow - I would totally invite you to the mums group I go to, but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like it from the couple of times I've met you. You seem more of a structured activity focussed on baby type of person, correct me if that's wrong though? We should meet up in the next couple weeks though. Did you want to try my Manduca before you buy one if you havn't got one on layby already?

MC- I'm definitely still interested in swopping nappys. Too tired to think right now so will be back sometime in the next couple of days

I've heard wriggle and rhyme is great. You could start looking at playcentre? I go to the Awarua mums and babies group and find it the best group ever! I'm starting to feel lost again cos it's the christmas party next week and then nothing for 6 weeks. Think I'll have to make my own coffee group over that time.

No not fulltime - 16 hrs a week.  It's the perfect balance for not having Brooke in childcare too many hours, and still being able to have a career and earn some money for myself. 

Hi guys - first day was a lot of information to absorb and a bit of a shock to the system.  Certainly tired afterward.  Today was much better and things made much more sense.  Still information overload, but things are fitting into place, and my workmates seem cool too. 

Will certainly enjoy the money, and just getting out of the house/using my brain hehe.

Gosh didn't even know you had boarders.  Guess you need more room though now aye. 

Used to have flatmates when I was single and paying a mortgage by myself.  Their money certainly helped a lot.  Easier than taking a second job, but I found I had to be really tolerant of other people's funny habits.

Sarah - I hope you had a great first day and are enjoying the environment a whole lot better than the last one. And I'm hearing you on the 1 income thing, especially now that our boarders moved out.

Congrats - that is great news!  Hope you are feeling well Dawn.  Gosh almost time for a 1st birthday in your house too - time goes by so quick. 

Brooke will be two in January.  She's doing really great - they certainly know their mind a little more at this age! 

We were going to try for another bub a couple of months ago, but I decided we really needed a bit longer break between babies for now.  Brooke is not a baby anymore - very independent and easy to travel with, go on outings etc.  So we are just enjoying for now.  I really wanted to get back into the workforce and get some money to start paying for the landscaping around here.  It is hard on a single income - enough money to live, but not to take holidays, get the garden finished, or all those little enjoyable extras in life. 

I start my new job tomorrow at Paediatrics and SDHB - I will be doing some of the medical typing and administration.  So who can spill much about Paeds at the hosp?  Hope they are friendly.  Ekk - getting nervous!

Wow, got my first choice MW on the first call and she's agreed to take me on. So awesome! It's Billie-Jean, she's one of the new Independant MW's who were MW's on the maternity ward when I was there. She's working out of Bumps a daisy, which is beside the curry guru on tweed st.

How is everyone?

We're all doing really well. Libby starts swimming lessons tomorrow, very exciting. It's hard to believe it's been 10 months already, but at the same time only 10 months.

I'm getting rather over the snow too. But there's more to come. Have you heard of all the shops being closed with collapsed/ bulging roofs? Wow.

I'm glad my class is cancelled for tomorrow, really would rather not go out in this. Mum would have had a hard time getting in to babysit anyway. They're farmers so having a really bad week of it.
