I have some ideas...

Store shoes in them -- they are a great size for adult shoes, especially when travelling and needing shoe bags for the suitcase.

Mini laundry bag, great for popping into the nappy bag to tuck dirty clothes into (and more environmentally friendly than a plastic bag).

Snip a hole into the open end's sewn-down bit and thread a shoelace through to make a drawstring bag -- great for washing "delicates" in.

Use as storage bags for baby blankets and quilts -- keeps them compact and tidy in the linen cupboard.

They are also the perfect size for using with a doll's cot mattress! I have sometimes used them as a liner like Rach but otherwise you could put them away for a year or two and reintroduce them to your little girl as dolly wraps. DD did actually start using a pillow when she was still in her cot - at maybe 18 months or so? She would turn round the wrong way and use the folded up blankets at the end of her bed as a pillow (in summer) so I figured she wanted one. Yeah canvases would be cool... if you have lots of the same (or even if they're different), you could do a set of canvases, and then use the others to make matching cushions (just and sew so it's a square and then stuff with stuffing from Spotlight, or find a cushion inner that's the right size).

That's if they're patterned ones...

I used mine empty to catch spills when she is in bed. Although now I just use a nappy. (an old cloth one, not a disposable lol).

The pillowcases that come with your cot sheets? I have quite a few of these now due to getting a lot of cot sheet sets for gifts, but you don't use a pillow for babies and I don't know that you can even get a pillow to fit them.
